Easy DIY Easter Decorations For Outside
Are you ready for some budget-friendly Easter decorations for outside on your front porch?
This year, I’ve added budget-friendly, DIY-speckled Easter Eggs, an Anthropologie dupe flower wreath, and a scrap fabric pillow cover to the DIY-styled front porch.
DIY Easter Decorations
First, I couldn’t resist buying some 12-inch oversized Easter eggs from Dollar Tree. If you saw the Easter egg tutorial, you know they look great used all around the farmhouse. However, I originally intended to add them to the front porch planters for Easter decorating and couldn’t wait to get them styled.
The DIY Upcycled Scrap Fabric Pillow cover was made a few years ago, but it still looks great and adds a festive feel to the rustic rockers.
The large Easter eggs were easily transformed with a speckled paint technique and the addition of colorful ribbons. You can add the various ribbons temporarily to the eggs to decorate with them in different areas of your home.
Today, I used green and yellow ribbons with a few flower sprigs to enhance the speckled eggs for DIY Easter decorations. The eggs sit nestled into the DIY galvanized planters surrounded by eucalyptus stems and garland.

The oversized eggs are designed to coordinate with the DIY Anthropologie dupe metal flower wreaths.
The wreaths are constructed from recycled grapevine wreaths and upcycled aluminum cans. They cost a fraction of the Anthropologie wreath, but they were easy to make and look amazing.
The wreaths hang on the DIY Wood Door Shutters beside our front doors. Several thrift store finds surround the planters to add Easter charm to the DIY porch decor.
A chippy wooden stool holds a concrete Rabbit statuary planter holding a bouquet of Easter eggs.
A thrifted basket is filled with eucalyptus garland and surrounds a concrete bunny. Cute Spring throw pillows and a hand-painted “Welcome Y’all” sign round out the vignette.
More bunnies and greenery were added to complete the DIY Easter decorations for the outside.
DIY Spring Porch Decor
Once Easter is over, you can easily transition your DIY porch decor with a few simple changes. Rudy was ready to help. He loves being outside on a sunny, warm day.
Prepare For Spring With DIY Porch Decor
The DIY upcycled flower wreaths have been a favorite project this Spring, and I wanted to continue using them for spring porch decor.
Their simple design can be used throughout the summer and even into the fall if desired.
The DIY Easter Eggs were switched out for oversized large moss balls. I’ve previously used them on the porch, and they needed a little refresh.
The colors had faded to a dull brown, but within minutes, a little food coloring revived them.
You can read the article on How To Keep Preserved Moss Fresh Looking.
Refresh Spring Porch Decor
In addition to refreshing the preserved moss balls, a moss-covered wreath held the balls in place. Adding a few sprays of food coloring also helped refresh the wreaths.
The pink rug is from last Spring and Summer and only needed a little cleaning to look good as new. I layered it over the black and beige winter rug.
Moving pieces of the thrifted Spring porch decor to different spots and changing the containers and greenery instantly refreshed the porch.
The forsythias are in full bloom, and their reflections add to the fun Spring porch vibe.
Finally, the DIY address sign continues to look brand new thanks to a protective sealer that keeps the finish from fading or chipping. You can see how to make your own sign on Creative DIY House Address Sign Tutorial.
The days are warming up, and porch-sitting weather is almost here. Rudy says, “Stop on by and sit a spell.”

Debbie, Thank you so much. The table is actually an old stool. I found it years ago in a thrift store.
