How To Make A Table Runner With Fruit For Cinco de Mayo

Begin by washing your drop cloth fabric with bleach to lighten.

Then dry the drop cloth to shrink before cutting to size.

Next, cut off any hemmed edges.

Then cut the table runner to the desired size and fray the edges by removing the strings

Next, cut lemons and limes to use as stamps.  Cut a few different shapes.  Add green craft paint to a paper plate.  Use only a small amount at a time.

Begin to randomly press the paint-filled fruit onto the drop cloth.

Add different shapes randomly across runner.

Press fruit into the paint and blot onto a paper towel to avoid adding more paint than is necessary to get the design on the runner.

Allow paint to dry and heat press to set the paint.  Add to your Cinco de Mayo Table.
