DIY Table Stand For Over The Table Decorating

Have you seen those cute over-the-table rod stands?

Today you will learn how to make an inexpensive decorative stand to attach over the table for beautiful tablescape decorating.

Fortunately, we have saved materials from previous projects and found enough wood to make the stands by recycling old lumber.

Draw your design onto the top of the wood.

Cut the design with jigsaw.

Sand edges with disk/belt sander until smooth.

Drill hole for dowel rod with a cordless drill

Attach the stands to the base with large L brackets and wood screws.

Here is what an unfinished rod stand looks like. You will have two of these.

You need heavy-duty clamps to attach the decorative stand to your table.

Now you can have fun adding garlands of greenery or flower, string lights, and more to your decorative stand.
