Are you ready for some Summer Tablescape Ideas? If you have fresh hydrangea blooms, you can easily create a summer blues tablescape. Grab some blooms, a basket, and blue and white dishes for this easy, breezy summer tablescape.
As summer is heating up, we are forced to dine inside more and more. I decided it was time for an indoor table refresh. My hydrangeas are blooming much better this year, so their beautiful blue color inspired my summertime table.
Since the hydrangeas are in full bloom, I decided a blue table theme would be perfect for these hot summer days. So, I began with a basket of hydrangeas and ferns and built my table from there. In addition, I decided Grace would be the perfect addition to watch over the summertime table.

To add texture to the tablescape, I used a handmade basket for the centerpiece and woven chargers for the place settings.

Mix & Match Summer Blue Dishes
I love mixing a variety of dishes on my tablescapes because they create a more unique and interesting table.
I decided to keep the setting light with just minimal pieces. I’ve combined a dinner plate with a dessert plate and added the salad bowls to the side.
Simple white linen napkins are placed under the dinner plate for a clean and crisp look.
Add An Unexpected Pop Of Color
Adding a pop of unexpected color will also enhance and create a unique feel to the place setting. I decided to add a fresh peach to the center of each plate because it’s peach season here in the south.
Add Texture
Woven placemats, rustic basket centerpieces, and wooden serving pieces add interest and texture to the table. The sea turtle bowl from Arthur Court Design is a fun and interesting addition to a summer blues tablescape.
