Ranch Tater Tot Casserole Ingredients
First, this recipe only calls for 6 ingredients, but don’t let that fool you. If you make the full recipe, you can easily feed 10-12 people. However, it’s so delicious you may want to allow for second helpings.
How To Prepare Ingredients Ahead of Time
The best thing about this irresistible breakfast recipe is all the prep work can be done ahead of time. If you have guests for the weekend or holidays, you don’t have to be stuck in the kitchen. Do all your prep work a day or two ahead of time.
Begin by frying the bacon extra crispy and crumble. Then, toss the tater tots, bacon, and cheese together.
Next, whisk the eggs and add ranch dry dressing mix and milk. Whisk until you have a smooth mixture.
Place the tater tot mixture into a greased baking dish and pour the egg mixture over the top. You can cover and refrigerate at this point or cover and bake immediately.
If you refrigerate, place the baking dish in the oven while it is preheating. Then, bake an extra 5-10 minutes. You want to bake until the eggs appear firm in the middle. Use a knife or toothpick to test for firmness.
