Would you like an easy and delicious Chicken Salad Recipe? What about an Easy Hot Chicken Salad Recipe?
Hot chicken salad is a relatively simple dish, and it doesn’t require much time or effort. You can use leftover cooked chicken, making it a great way to use up any leftovers in your fridge.
This recipe was given to me at a Church fundraiser over 30 years ago. Once I tasted this dish, I had to have the recipe and I’ve been making it ever since.
I’ve decided to share some of my “You know it has to be easy if I’m willing to make it” Recipes with you. I realized that some of you may be just like me and prefer to let someone else do the cooking. However, there are times when it becomes NECESSARY to prepare a meal, and these are some of my go recipes.
Easy Hot Chicken Salad Recipe
This is one of my “it’s so easy even I’ll make it ” recipes.
First, you want to cook and chop your chicken breast. You may also use rotisserie breast or canned chicken breast. I have used each with great results when preparing the Hot Chicken Salad Recipe.
Next, mix all your ingredients together except the potato chips and cheese.
So easy to mix everything together in a large mixing bowl.
You can also substitute the almonds with water chestnuts if you prefer or due to allergies.
Place in Baking Dish
All you need is a lightly greased square baking dish to transfer all your mixed ingredients into. To finish, top with crushed potato chips and shredded cheese of your choice. Today I’m using Jalapeno flavored potato chips and sharp shredded cheese.
Easy Bake
Next bake the hot chicken salad in a oven heated to 450 degrees for approximately 10-15 minutes. The ingredients should be thoroughly hot, but not overcooked.
Oops! Be sure to watch closely because I let the potato chips get a little burnt. This always happens when I want to share a photo of my recipes. LOL
