Easy Cranberry & Apple Bake Recipe
This Cranberry & Apple Bake Recipe is one of our family’s all-time favorite holiday recipes. It’s so “easy that even I will make it,” and it’s the perfect combination of sweet and tart.
Although we typically pull out this recipe for Thanksgiving and Christmas, it’s perfect for any time of the year.
In addition, it’s hard to determine if this is a side dish, appetizer, or dessert. My original recipe listed it as a salad, so I’ve added it as a side dish. You can make your own determination.

Chop & Mix
First, let’s pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.
Begin by washing the apples and cranberries, and then chop the apples into small pieces. I prefer to use Granny Smith Apples because I like the combination of the green color and the red of the cranberries. However, any tart apple will work well with this recipe.
You need 3 cups of chopped apples and 2 cups of fresh cranberries.
Toss the apples and cranberries with the 2 Tbls of plain flour to coat the fruit.

Add Sugar
Now add 1 cup of sugar and mix thoroughly with the fruit. This is such an easy and quick recipe.

Now you are ready to add this mixture to a greased two qt—baking dish.

You are almost half way finished with the Cranberry & Apple Bake.
Make The Topping For The Cranberry & Apple Bake
Next, mix all the remaining ingredients with the melted butter for the topping.
This includes:
- three packages of Cinnamon & Spice Instant Oatmeal
- 3/4 cups chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 1/2 melted butter
You will then spoon the mixture over the top of the fruit.

Once the top is covered sufficiently, you will bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
