Dirt Road Adventures: Thrifting, Girlfriend Time, Porches, & Allegeries
Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.
Hey Friends,
I hope your week was amazing! I had a little bit of a roller coaster week. I finally got my front porch put together for Easter but then woke up with a major allergy attack. The pollen had one eye swollen shut, and my nose was dripping like a faucet. Fortunately, a quick trip to the Doctor resulted in a miracle steroid shot and some pills that gave me almost instant relief, which I needed because I had so many plans for the week.
I wanted to do some delayed thrifting, and we had a girlfriend’s night out planned, so I didn’t have time to be sick. Luckily the meds worked great and I was able to get back on track by Tuesday. Let me share all the adventures.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
First, I wanted to find some Easter decor for Thrifting with the Gals. I’ve collected many pieces over the years, and thrifting is the best way to save money on seasonal decor, so I headed into downtown Asheboro to see what I could find. Although I only purchased a couple of new items, it was fun to shop. I could resist some really nice stuffed animals that looked brand new, but a cute concrete bunny hopped right into my cart. LOL
I’m sharing my Easter thrifted finds on Thursday for Thrifting with the Gals. So stay tuned to see all the deals and decorating ideas for using inexpensive Thrift Store Finds.

The weather was wonderful for most of the week, making for a fun girls’ night out. We began at a fun wine bar in Seagrove, The General Wine and Brew, which is housed in an old country store. It’s so charming. Then we gathered with our husbands for dinner. We enjoyed a delicious meal and much laughter.

What’s In My Cart
I recently got some new jeans that are a game changer. They are so comfortable and versatile. I’ve been wearing them with several different styles, so I thought I’d share why I love them and how I’ve styled them for several occasions.

As we age, it’s important to remain stylish but comfortable, so I’m sharing three ways I’m styling these comfortable jeans. First, it was a girls’ night out with Kensie jeans, a sleeveless collared shirt, and Cole Haan Sneakers. Then, it was a day of casual shopping with the same jeans, an oversized white button-down shirt, a scarf, and cork heels. Finally, it was a rainy day with a sleeveless turtleneck, black boots, and a trench coat.
