Dirt Road Adventures: Thrifting, DIY, & Another Girlfriends Weekend

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

Hey friends, I hope you’ve had a good week. I’m spending the weekend with some of my besties in N. Myrtle Beach. Two of my long-time girlfriends moved here a few years ago, and we miss them being in Asheboro. But we keep the Fab Five tradition going with regular gatherings in Asheboro or N. Myrtle Beach. We are fortunate to have wonderful weather, enjoy some time on the beach, and dine at waterfront restaurants like Patios. We even got our photo taken with Bernie!

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

Thrifted Finds This Week

I have started looking for thrift store items for the fast-approaching Christmas season and have had some luck this week. A few weeks ago, I found this snowy print by Bob Timberlake, and this week, I found this smaller one by the same artist.

Snowy Art from thrift stores

I also found two tiny oil paintings and had to have them. The attention to detail is impressive. In addition to my snowy art, I found a silver cream and sugar bowl, a decorative tray, a chunky candle holder, and a pair of ceramic candlestick holders for only $1.00. I have plans for all these goodies and will share them in the coming weeks. I can’t wait for your opinion on their makeovers.
