Dirt Road Adventures – The Best-Laid Plans

I hope you had a great week!

After returning from a busy weekend away for a wedding, I was ready for a productive week—however, the best-laid plans and all that.

I had such grand plans.

We can start dieting seriously this week.

I’ll get the house decorated and everything back in order.

I’ll get my editorial calendar filled with creative ideas.

And so many other plans to get the year off to a great start.

Things didn’t go exactly as planned.

First, my husband woke up on Tuesday morning sick and tested positive for covid. Rudy sensed something wasn’t right and didn’t leave Brad’s side.

As a precaution, I cancelled my hair appointment, so it’s been crazy hair days over here.

In addition, I sanitized everything like crazy and felt confident that I was getting sick every few minutes. LOL

By Friday, I’d talk myself into getting sick. I woke up to a dripping nose and had a sore throat by evening. I tested negative for covid and don’t feel bad, just irritated. LOL

Needless to say, I needed this quote this past week.

I hope your second week of January was productive, and I’m ready to check off all the boxes on my to-do list this week. But first, let’s see what did happen last week on the blog.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

After a week of being confined to the house, I was able to update a few of your favorite posts. I shared a few new projects and started working on some upcoming posts.

In addition, I was able to catch up on some of my favorite bloggers, and I’ll share some of their inspiring posts today.

Rachel, having to cancel a hair appointment is absolutely devastating — especially when you really need that haircut, etc. I hate when this happens!
