Dirt Road Adventures: Spring Refresh

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Hey friends,

I hope you had an amazing week. We’ve been busy catching up from last week’s beach trip and preparing to return for the Easter holiday.

Brad’s been cleaning up our landscape, cutting back shrubs, and dead wood in our herbs. He’s also pressure-washed my potting bench, which had turned green over the winter. I hope to paint it before we leave town and be ready for some serious potting when we get home.

We’ve also been working on the greenhouse, doing some minor repairs and preparing it for summer use.

I’ve been enjoying the spring flowers. I’ve been adding snowballs and lilacs to the kitchen and bathrooms. You’ll also see how I used the gorgeous azalea blooms to refresh the bedroom last week.

I’ve become addicted to a new author of psychological thrillers and I’ve blown through several books because I can’t put them down. I’ve recently discovered Sue Watson, whose books are available for purchase, but most are free with Kindle Unlimited. I’ve read several in the last few months and can’t decide which is my favorite. Wife, Mother, Liar was the one that hooked me, and The Sister In-Law was gripping. I’ve just finished The New Wife and You Me Her. You’ll love these books if you like gripping but not gory thrillers that keep you guessing who’s really the bad guy. Click here to see details for Kindle Unlimited

What’s In My Cart

cropped trench jacket with straight jeans and animal print flats

Check out this cute outfit. I’m loving the straight legged jeans paired with the super comfortable animal print flats. The black sleeveless turtleneck comes in cream also. The cropped trench jacket is from my RaH-Rags local shop but here is a similar cropped jacket. The necklace is Mother of Pearl and the earrings are pearl hoops. I’m loving the Apple watch band from Pretty Straps and I also got the watch face cover in gold.
