Welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! It’s been a short week because we didn’t return from our Easter weekend until Tuesday. It took me all week to recover from vacation.
However, the trip was worth it because we had a great time celebrating with our beach families and enjoyed our time away. The food was delicious and the companionship was wonderful.
Brad and I made candied bacon to add to the Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. Have you ever had candied bacon?
I’ll share the recipe soon. It’s yummy, and we have several recipes that we use it for. It’s particularly good in Bloody Marys.
Rudy had his first teeth cleaning experience last week, and this was the position he took all the next day. He also stayed mad at us for about 24 hours.
Brad worked at our daughter’s home, installing new flooring for her: two rooms down and one to go.
While he was out of town, I transplanted plants and separated hosta and phlox to spread the love around our landscape.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
After being away from home for a week, getting back into the swing of things was hard.
I couldn’t come up with a single creative idea. Thankfully I had planned some projects before vacation.
As the week wore on, I felt more myself and began forming new plans.
You’ll get a hint when you see what’s in my cart. LOL

Rachel, thank you so much for sharing my guest cottage renovation! You are so sweet to do so. Your beach trip sounds like fun. What a treat to get together with others. I'm still thinking about all the places I want lighting but don't want to hardwire for it. Such a great tip. Have a happy week!
