Dirt Road Adventures: Hot Time In The Country

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures: Hot Time In the Country! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

Hey Friends,

We are back from our 4th of July vacation, and it’s been a hot time in the country. After being gone for two weeks, we spent most of the week catching up.

Thanks to the help of my sister and BIL, my flowers survived the heat, and the pool was in great shape. I have sunflowers for the first time ever, and they are just stunning. The zinnas are showing up big time as well.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

We had a great vacation with our daughter, son-in-law, and beach family neighbors. We spent a lot of time on the beach, but we were under our new Sun Ninja Beach Tent. We are very happy with how easy it is to put together each day, making beach life much more enjoyable. We also used our Ninja Vault Cooler, which was great for packing our lunch and snacks for a day on the beach.

We were able to walk every day, and we took advantage of some yard sales. See my thrifted finds at the end of today’s post.

It’s always sad to leave our home away from home. We love all the improvements we made to our beach cottage bedroom. The DIY Petal Light Fixtures and the updated Rattan Cabinets have completely transformed the room. We also switched out the bedding for this waffle-textured bedding, and I like the lighter, breezy look.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

There are so many wonderful blog posts each week, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

My Thrift Store Finds

I didn’t get to spend much time thrifting last week, but while we were at the beach, I did a little yard sale shopping. Just down the street from us, a couple of homes were having a yard sale, and I got some good deals.

Rudy is wondering what all this junk is doing on the floor. LOL! This is my yard sale haul, and I only spent $9.00. The two wrought iron plant hangers were the most expensive item, which was $5.00 for the pair. They are really heavy, and I can’t wait to hang them. The vintage rolling pin was only $2.00, and they had several more, but I resisted and bought only one.

What’s in my cart?

Are you excited about Prime Days? It’s coming this week on July 16 & 17th. I’m starting to add items to my cart in anticipation. You can see some of my favorite Amazon purchases and deals here on my Amazon Storefront.

In addition, here are some items I’m keeping in my cart.

Thank you so much for joining me today! I appreciate you for following along on all my adventures.
