Dirt Road Adventures – Get Ready for The Holidays

Are you still decorating for Fall? I have several Ideas for tablescapes and Thanksgiving ideas that I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks, but honestly, I’m starting to plan my Christmas Decor.

This past week I shared some of my ideas about how I’m preparing for the holidays!. How to Prepare for Christmas Decorating Now and Christmas Craft Supplies and Ideas so that you are prepared for the most magical time of the year.

Behind the scenes at The Ponds

Here are a few things we are doing behind the scenes right now!

Getting rid of the dead summer flowers and planting fall plants.

Closing the pool – so sad.

Adding finishing touches to the guest cottage. Such as these fluffy towels from Schweitzer Linens.

We also went to our beach cottage and began some renovations there.

First, we are adding a closet to the bedroom. It will take 1/2 of the window space here and the old door will become a sliding barn door for the closet. In addition, here’s our progress outside. Just a few pilings and cement, but it’s a start.

Plus I’ve started a few Christmas Projects, which I can’t wait to share with you.
