Fall is in the air! It’s amazing how quickly the temperatures drop once Labor Day is behind us.
Welcome friends to another week of Dirt Road Adventures. It’s been a week of catching up from our extended stay at our beach cottage.
We came home to a lot spent summer flowers. So one whole day was dedicated to cleaning up our landscape. I love my summer flowers and it was sad to see them go.
I’ve been working all week in preparation for another trip, this time to Asheville, NC. I was originally traveling today for a meet up with several North Carolina friends, but due to an increase in Covid 19 and more restrictions, that event is cancelled. It makes me so sad.
However, I had planned to extend my time in Asheville, so I leave tomorrow.
I’ll share some of my adventures with you next week.
Once I return, I will be adding fall plants and getting ready for our Fall Campfire Party and Virtual Supper Club. I have several new DIY projects that I’m so excited to share with you.
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
First, I shared several DIY and Entertaining projects from last year with you.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
I shared How to Make an Earthenware Vessel from a cheap thrift store vase. It’s a perfect project for your fall florals.
In addition, these hand painted table runner’s are still one of my all time favorite projects. You’ll be amazed at how easy they are to make using drop cloth fabric and chalk paint.
I also shared 5 Tips to Plan a Casual Dinner Party! Both of these DIY projects were used to create a festive fall party.
I hope you didn’t miss my Best Ideas for Decorating a Porch for Fall. In addition to my tips, I shared 30 Blog Posts for Fall Inspiration both inside and outside your home.
The inspiration for this porch came from this Shedding Leaves Garland, Candle Ring & Floral Stems. Click on the highlighted names for more information.
Antique Candle Co. has released many of their fall scents and I love using them. both inside and outside my home. You can check out the available scents here.

I'm so glad you were able to get away to the beach Rachel. It's always hard to come back to the garden and all those spent flowers. I too have had to cancel a trip with the girls due to Covid. It's tough. Thank you so much for sharing my boat trip here today. I really appreciate it. BTW I love your table runner so much!
