Y’all, it’s been a Fall DIY Projects-filled week here at the end of our Dirt Road.
Plus, the weather has been spectacular since the storm moved out.
It’s been the perfect fall week.
I’m looking forward to sharing a look back and other behind-the-scenes happenings here at The Ponds. Plus, DIY Projects and Fall Decorating Ideas from around the web.
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
First, do you remember the old farmstead where we had our Country Garden Party?
In the first photo, you can see the backside of the old barn built in 1901. Just to the right of the barn and out of view was a giant oak tree.
Sadly, when topical storm Ian passed through last weekend, the tree and the barn were both destroyed. The tree uprooted and crushed the old barn. Only charred tree limbs remained when we arrived.
Fortunately, the other structures were undamaged.
We always enjoy having John visit us and share his fishing skills. He is quite the sportsman and loves to reel in a big catch like this one. I couldn’t resist sharing this cute photo his grandparents shared with me.
In other news, the pastures surrounding us are full of newborn calves, and these three look like they are posing for this photo opt.

Congratulations on all your features Rachel, especially in Parade Magazine. How exciting. I'm so sad to see your neighbor's barn destroyed by the hurricane. I'm so thankful that the other structures remain intact. Thank you so much for sharing my pumpkin post, my friend.

So excited for all your features this week, Rachel, including the one in Parade! You are always creative and talented and it's definitely deserved. I'm so sorry to hear about your barn and trees. It's crazy to me how even though tropical storms are as powerful as hurricanes they can still do so much damage. Love the picture of John - he's such a cutie pie! Off to dive into these links. Thanks so much for featuring our time at Renningers. You would have loved it! Hugs, CoCo
