Dirt Road Adventures: Beach Cottage Update, Easter Ideas, and More!

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures here at the end of our Dirt Road.

Hey Friends, we are back at the beach again. This time, it was a work trip. We painted the exterior of the beach cottage last week. I’ve wanted to change the paint color since we added cedar shingles to the front porch area. The cottage has been a couple of different shades of yellow for many years, and it was time for a change. Once we added the cedar shake shingles to the porch area, I knew it was time for an update.

After several sample colors, we chose a Benjamin Moore shade called Blairwood. Brad and I were able to paint the entire house in one day. The next day was dedicated to trim paint and touch-ups. The new taupe-gray shade complements the Sea Gull stain on the shingles, and I love how it makes the white trim pop.

With this latest update, we are reaching the end of our renovation process for the time being. You can see the interior renovations at Tiny House Ideas for Beach Cottage Remodel – Before and After
