Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures: A Wedding, Thrifting, Fall Decor & More! This is where we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.
Wow, has it been hot or what? We are getting a little relief from the heat, but the humidity is still very high. I hope you are getting some relief from the heat.
My niece’s wedding was last Saturday, and as we traveled to the out-of-town destination, we made a few pit stops to check out vintage shops.
But first, the wedding was beautiful, and the venue was like stepping back in time. Rose Hill Estate is in eastern North Carolina and features an 18th-century Manor Home. The beautiful home and surrounding grounds were just stunning. We were so happy to participate in the lovely ceremony.

Thrift Store Finds
First, our weekend wedding adventures resulted in a few thrifted finds. I can’t wait to display the old country store art this fall. And you know I can’t resist a good deal on a blue and white platter.
Once we were back home, I stopped by CUOC because I had earned some freebies for my previous shopping excursions. Naturally, I found a couple of items to bring home with me. The large silver tray will be perfect for the holidays. And who could resist a vintage lamb planter? Am I right?
At another secondhand shop, I scored some artificial pears, a vintage green bottle with a porcelain stopper, some tapered candles, a silver teapot and serving tongs, and a set of four cute butter pat plates.
I also picked up an antique china cabinet that I plan to update. I spent less than $80 on my thrifted finds, so it was a great week.
