Dirt Road Adventures

Welcome to the first week of Dirt Road Adventures. I’m excited to be sharing a new version of what’s been happening at the end of the Dirt Road this week.

First, Dirt Road Adventures covers some things that happened here at The Ponds as well as some adventures that my friends had this week.

I hope you enjoy our Saturday adventures together!

Before & After Dirt Road Adventures

I thought I’d begin by sharing some before and after’s with you. You may not realize that my husband and I have been refurbishing our property here for over 12 years. We have only been living here permanently for the past 4 years.

Before we moved here, we had a mobile home that sat exactly where the Farmhouse is today. We would spend weekends here, working on the property. Here are some before photo’s of what this place looked like when the mobile home was here.

Adventures I’ve had this week

I shared my first Christmas Tablescape and shared tips & step by step details about how I put it together.

I shared how to repurpose your old Christmas Décor and make it look more up to the minute.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?

Each week, there are so many wonderful blog posts, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.

There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL

I decided to share from several different categories each week. So each week, you only see my favorite inspiration in recipes, crafts, DIY, Entertaining, gardening, etc.

Here are the people who inspired me this week.

Let’s talk Gardening Adventures First

My friend Kim at Shiplap and Shells shared how to take advantage of those pesky leaves by making them work for you in your garden beds and around your shrubs and trees. You can read her tips here.

PS…. my husband took advantage of this tip on Friday.

My friend Leslie at My 100 Year Old Home is the perfect entertainer and I ran across her Mom’s Cornbread Stuffing Recipe and thought it would be perfect since Thanksgiving is next week. I’m definitely going to try this one.

Here is a fun Craft or DIY Adventure I found

Y’all know I love to up-cycle items and I saw these super cute Tweed & Tartan fabric tree’s that Claire at Pillar Box Blue made and just had to share them with you. They look super easy and fun to make. I love the jean trim around the thread spools. So creative.

Let’s have an Entertaining Adventure

I know that for many of us, Thanksgiving will be different this year. All the more reason to make it as festive as possible and these cute napkin rings from Carol at Blue Sky at Home, are just the perfect touch. I can see using these during the Christmas holidays as well. There are so many options.

Thank you so much for sharing in my first week of Dirt Road Adventures. Please let me know if you have questions or if there is something you’d like me to share in the future.
