Welcome to my Christmas Candlelight Tour of the Farmhouse decorated for the holidays. This evening tour includes views of the farmhouse industrial living room, kitchen, and dining areas, plus the screened porch, master bedroom, and bathroom.
In addition, I’m joining some friends sharing their beautiful homes decorated for a nighttime tour. This Candlelight tour is hosted by my friends Anne & AnnMarie at Simply 2 Moms.
I hope you’ll follow along on the tour. If you are joining me from Stacy Ling at Bricks N Blooms, welcome. I know you loved Stacy’s historical home evening tour.

Welcome to The Christmas Candlelight Evening Tour
As I prepare for today’s tour, all the lights have been turned off, leaving only candlelight and a few Christmas twinkle lights.
There is something magical about enjoying the Christmas tree and all the holiday decorations in the evenings.
As you enter the farmhouse, you have a full view of the living room, kitchen, dining room, and loft.
If you’d like to see more of the loft decorated for Christmas, I recently shared this Vintage Industrial Loft Christmas tour.
Today let’s start the tour in the kitchen and dining areas.

Christmas Candlelight Kitchen Tour
The tour begins in the industrial farmhouse kitchen, which includes shiplap walls, concrete countertops, a brick backsplash with open shelving, and a DIY 7 x 6 foot Kitchen Island.
DIY Farmhouse Kitchen Island
We built the DIY Farmhouse Kitchen Island while the house was under construction. The large island allows friends to gather when we entertain.
The vintage gas station enamelware lights typically light the workstation and island centerpiece. However, this evening the area is lit with candles from Antique Candle Company.
This year I’m working with a vintage, thrifted, and sustainable Christmas theme; the island centerpiece is filled with a touch of each.
The french cheese board serves as the island centerpiece and is surrounded by natural cedar greenery, repurposed bells, and a dried orange garland.
Additionally, it is topped with several vintage copper pieces and a mini-Christmas tree.
Industrial Kitchen
The farmhouse kitchen is filled with vintage and industrial elements, including the apron sink surrounded by DIY Concrete countertops and wooden shiplap walls.
In addition to the white shiplap walls, the brick backsplash adds texture to the neutral room.
This year we added the DIY copper pot hanger rack to display vintage copper pots and pans. They help to add a warm glow to the farmhouse kitchen.
The open shelving is made from new wood but made to look like reclaimed barn wood. You can use this technique to create the look of old barn wood as you see on the shelves and kitchen island top.
Candlelight Tour – Dining Room
Next, let’s check out the dining area. It is open to the kitchen and is filled with vintage holiday charm.
I love to set a pretty table, and Christmas tables are my favorite. Today’s table is set with a DIY Wooden riser to add height to the middle of the table. It works perfectly for holding candlesticks and centerpieces.
The centerpiece is a pewter reindeer container filled with natural foraged greenery, including cedar, magnolia, nandina stems, and berries.
One of my first painting, Sophie, “Silent Night” overlooks the table setting.
The napkin ring charms are a recent Air Dry Clay Ornament project. They are easy to make and would be fun to customize for any occasion.
The natural greenery and candlelight make the table look especially festive for the holidays.
Christmas Candlelight Tour – Living Room
Next are some views of the living room by candlelight. The Christmas Tree lights give the room a warm glow and create a festive atmosphere throughout the room.
The tree is filled with sustainable, eco-friendly, foraged, and DIY ornaments. If you want tips for decorating a sustainable tree, check out 5 Sustainable and Cheap Christmas Tree Decorating Ideas.
The coffee table centerpiece is everyone’s favorite vintage wooden bowl. This year it is filled with reindeer, bottle brush trees, vintage shiny brite ornaments, and a battery-operated flicker candle for safety.

One of my favorite thrift store finds is these felt Santa Christmas Stockings. Although there were only 3, they work perfectly for our fur babies’ stockings.
Besides the large Christmas tree, several small trees are nestled into the corner next to the antique barn door. The door is a perfect spot to display the DIY Wooden Spool Tassels shared earlier this year.
Bedroom & Bathroom by Candlelight
Rudy considers this his domain, and he says, “Welcome to my bedroom”! LOL
To add a festive feel to the bedroom, holiday bedding from LevTex Home was added. I love how festive it makes the bedroom feel.
Then above the bed, the repurposed mantel is filled with bottle brush trees, mirrors, vintage books, and twinkle lights.

The cozy candlelight tour includes a view of the bathroom. A natural cedar arrangement is located behind the tub, and several vintage-inspired ornaments hang from the woven light fixture.
A vintage cabinet is filled with thrift store finds and old clocks, along with a few holiday touches.
After making room for the Christmas Tree, the deconstructed chair found a temporary home in the bedroom corner.
Screened Porch Candlelight Tour
Finally, let’s check out the screened porch. It is covered for the winter, allowing us to enjoy sitting here except for the coldest days.
One of our favorite DIY projects is the shiplap Christmas tree, which Brad built our first Christmas in the Farmhouse. It has been used on the porch each Christmas since.
The tree is decorated with red birds, popcorn and berry garland, pinecones, and other woodland ornaments.
Next to the tree is a metal and slate coffee table that my dad built. A roadside wooden ice cream churn looks festive when filled with foraged greenery.
The porch dining table and the chippy red toolbox are ready for holiday guests.
The DIY light fixture hangs with glass vases holding cardinals and berries that match the Napkin Decoupage Ornaments I made earlier this holiday season.
In addition, the white paper Christmas trees are a fun project to make and look great, made into a Christmas garland.
Next to the door is a baker’s rack used as a serving station when we entertain; however, it’s filled with vintage holiday finds today.
I love to collect vintage needlework, and this red covered bridge needlepoint piece is one of my favorites.
Outside View
Here is one last look at the evening decorations.
Brad added a Christmas tree to the pier, which looks great reflected in the pond as guests arrive.
Another favorite outdoor feature is the DIY greenhouse lit with Blinkies lights. Inside is a Christmas tree that is easily seen through the french doors.
