It’s my favorite Christmas show, and I’m taking you along. Join me as we visit The French Farmer’s Wife French Farmhouse Christmas Barn Show. The barn is filled with rustic French Farmhouse Decor and European Antiques.
If you have followed me for a hot minute, you know I have several treasured pieces found at previous French Farmer’s Wife Barn Sales.
Probably the most popular are the large wooden bowl for my coffee table and the large hod container I use for my Christmas Tree each year.
I get many questions about where to find both of these European Antiques, but that’s the great thing about purchasing from these sales; your decor is unique and hard to find.
Because of all the interest, my husband and I shared a tutorial for making a wooden version of the tree container. Although it’s made of wood, it gives you the same feel as this antique and is easy to make.
You never know what wonderful, unique treasures will be waiting for you at each show. Plus, you’ll get so much inspiration for Christmas decorating at the Holiday Sale.

What is The French Farmer’s Wife?
The French Farmer’s Wife was started in 2016 by California native Kathee after she moved to North Carolina.
The barn on her property was converted into a showroom for the semi-annual Barn Sales.
Kathee and her business partner, Gail, have decorated every inch of the barn with her authentic, rustic French style for the holidays.
Kathee loves to collect “Ironstone, quilts, breadboards, dough bowl, books, iron doorstops, Barbola mirrors, French grain sacks and zinc, baskets and chandeliers” for her home. Therefore, and you will see that love reflected in the beautiful inventory at the sales.
If you are not in the area, you can still inquire about items that can be shipped to you. I’ll share all the contact information at the end of the post.
Thrifting With The Gals
Today’s visit to the French Farmer’s Wife is part of this month’s Thrifting With The Gals Series. If you are new to this series, we are a group of friends who live in different areas of the country but share a love for vintage and thrifted finds.
Each month we share ideas and tips on decorating with your vintage finds, how to shop, what to look for, and more.
This month our guest is Kelly from The Tattered Pew, who is joining us from Colorado. Kelly recently purchased a new home and has been filling it with her unique blend of old and new decor.
If you are joining me from Kristin at White Arrows Home, welcome. I know you loved how she decorated with wooden totes.
French Farmhouse Decor
My other favorite purchases are Vintage French Copper, French Cheese Boards, a great dough bowl, and breadboards.
In addition, several pieces in my greenhouse came from the French Farmer’s Wife. These include a chippy desk and chair, a chippy step ladder, and vintage garden tools.
European Antiques
If you are looking for authentic European Antiques, you will find an abundance at their sales.
Although they occasionally add local finds to their stock, many items are from their travels. In addition, several European pickers hand-pick French Farmhouse Decor for Kathee and Gail. This includes Kathee’s daughter, who lives in Europe.
French Farmhouse Kitchen Decor
Some of my favorite pieces are French Copper. I recently added a copper pot hanger rack to my kitchen to display my growing collection.
Several of the pieces are from The French Farmer’s Wife; just look at the items available at this weekend’s sale.
I plan to arrive early for the best selections.
Christmas Inspiration
The Christmas Barn Sale is my favorite because I always find some fantastic vintage items. But I also get so much Christmas Decor Inspiration.
From unique bottle brush trees to shifters filled with Christmas trees, it’s a feast for the eyes.
In addition, many of the holiday items are displayed in unique vessels that can be used year round.
I usually make several trips around the barn and always see something exciting that I missed.
If you love an eclectic and unique decorating style, rustic European antiques, and French Farmhouse decor, you will be inspired by a trip to The French Farmer’s Wife Holiday Sale.
