Bring The Garden Indoors
As I was planning my bedroom Spring tour, I was drawn the stunning azalea blooms along our drive. They are amazing this year and with a threat of a late freeze, I knew I had to save them. So instead of spending money on faux flowers and new decor to update the bedroom, I choose to fill it with touches of green and fresh azalea bloom.

Spring Bedroom Decor With Vintage Pitchers
First, I gathered my collection of blue and white vintage pitchers and added them to the mantel shelf above the bed. With their faded blue details, they are perfect for displaying the fresh azalea blooms.

I used thrift store mirrors to help reflect the pitchers and blooms which helped to add depth to the display.

In addition to the vintage pitchers, I pulled a recent thrifted gold bunny from the living room to add a touch of Easter to the shelf. The small pops of gold on the bunny, mirrors, and brass tray help to bring attention to the otherwise neutral, soft colors. The repurposed mantel shelf is as wide as the bed and provides plenty of space for a refreshing spring vignette.

Bedside Tables With Pink Azaleas
With all the white azalea blooms over the bed, I decided to add color to the bedside tables. I began with two vintage milk glass vases and added water with a generous bouquet of pink azaleas. Both side tables are thrifted and hold thrift store lamp transformations. You can see the “related articles” at the end of this post for links to the tutorials.

Although mostly neutral, the spring bedroom has many blue and white touches, such as the new blue and white curtains, euro pillows, vintage pitchers, and plates. I added touches of green with an accent pillow and a sweet Easter bunny on the bed.

Bedroom Cupboard For Spring
The shelves and the cupboard’s top are adorned with more white azaleas. I tucked a few blooms into a brass container filled with faux lamp ears. A preserved boxwood planter helps to add a touch more greenery to the shelf. The top of the cupboard holds vintage art, greenery, and a small vintage pitcher with more white azaleas. Another discreet bunny is nestled with a collection of small vintage books.

I added two preserved boxwood wreaths to the open doors to add more garden greenery. The primitive cupboard also includes several vintage clocks, books, and thrifted mirrors to reflect light inside the dark colored shelves.
A basket of pink azaleas brings the eye over the corner of the bedroom.

Refreshing your spaces seasonally doesn’t have to cost much, if any, money. Here are a few of my favorite tips.
Insider Tips – Free Spring Refresh Ideas
- Gather similar items together, like the blue and white vintage pitchers. You can also use ironstone pitchers, milk glass vases, old bottles or jugs. If you aren’t into vintage collections, look around your home for vases and containers that are the same color or similar in shape. Pull them together and fill them with fresh blooms.
- Look to nature for your decorations. Check your garden and landscape to gather greenery, flowers, etc. for free.
- Add touches of seasonal decor. I added a few bunnies to give the bedroom a taste of Easter.
- Look for items in other areas of your home to add a seasonal touch, or to add a pop of color. You don’t always need to purchase new to update a space.
- Use a pop of one color around the room. I added pops of green with book covers, moss spheres, an accent pillow, and several pieces of faux greenery scattered around the bedroom. In addition, I used the smaller selection of pink azalea blooms to create additional pops of pink.
- Use mirrors, brass and other reflective items to brighten dark spaces. I love to collect small mirrors for this purpose. Use them on shelves, inside book cases or anywhere you need more light.
Other Spots of Garden Fresh Blooms On Spring Bedroom Tour
The dresser across from the bed gets very little attention due to the black box (TV) that my husband feels is a necessary decoration. LOL. However, with the sap buckets filled with beautiful white blooms, it does feel more charming.

Above the azaleas is an antique mirror that reflects light from the French doors and helps to lighten the room. A faux greenery plant and a vintage dish filled with moss spheres add more touches of green to the dresser.

The entry area to the bedroom includes a vintage child’s chair with a stack of old books and a bundle of pink azaleas. Beside the chair is a small table with several vintage books and a vintage milk glass bud vase with white azaleas.

I wish we could have these gorgeous blooms year-round. However, once these blooms fade, more summer blooms can be used to replace them.
