I’m sharing a Promise of Spring Tablescape inspired by some of my thrifty finds this month. These romantic finds are a perfect addition to the table since it is Valentine’s Day. In addition, you will see hints of warmer days ahead with some fresh greenery and forced blooms.
Although we have a few weeks before Spring officially arrives, I see some hints that it’s just around the corner. I’ve joined some blogging friends from around the country to share what Spring looks like on their Tablescapes.
If you are coming over from Kim at Shiplap & Shells, wow, I’m so glad you made it to NC from Washington State. Isn’t Kim’s table perfect for this promise of Spring?

The Inspiration
Y’all know that all my tablescapes begin with inspiration from recent finds. Here are a few items I’ve found recently that inspired this Promise of Spring Tablescape.
First, this gorgeous round crochet tablecloth is an almost perfect match for the larger crochet tablecloth I found last fall while thrifting. I was lucky to see it in a friend’s booth with some handmade napkins at Vintage Cottage.
I couldn’t wait to pair them together and create a tablescape.
I found this adorable antique-covered dish at Goodwill this week on Thrifting with the Gals Thursday.
Note: You will see more Thrifting with the Gals finds and how we use them on Thursday!
A Promise Of Spring Tablescape Details
In addition to recent finds, I felt a few items would be perfect for this romantic table.
These antique brass birds are salt and pepper shakers that belonged to my husband’s grandmother. I use them often on the table because they are a favorite of mine.
Here is how I created the simple centerpiece.
First, I HAD to use the vintage serving dish on the table. It was perfect with the tablecloths. So I surrounded the antique dish with three vintage brass candlesticks and filled it with an Angel Vine Plant. Lastly, I added the sweet bird salt & pepper shakers to complete the centerpiece vignette.
More Vintage Pieces
Here you see the vintage dishes that I found back in the summer. I love combining them with vintage flatware and these cute handmade napkins with cute embroidered flowers & crochet corners.
Promise of Spring Accessories
To complete the spring-like feeling, I added a sap bucket filled with forced forsythia stems and “Faith”! Faith is one of my favorite paintings to display this time of year. She is a sweet reminder of the coming Spring, and I have prints in my store.
Round Table
I use a round table instead of the standard oval to create a cozy, romantic feel. This dining table has seen many transformations, but I’ve never been able to part with it. It was one of our first purchases as newlyweds.

Hi Rachel. Your TABLESCAPE is a promise spring will come. So lovely. I have to keep reminding myself all this rain is feeding our plants and snow is known as God's fertilizer.

This is the most beautiful tablescape Rachel and does give me hope for spring. I love all the elements you included but I think the round crochet tablecloth is my very favorite! And of course the pop of greenery finishes off the entire table. Loved hopping with you today!
