Hey Friends, how was your first week of April? It really warmed up here and I brought some plants out of the greenhouse. Plus, I took a look back at some of faux plant projects from last Spring.
On Dirt Road Adventures – Plants For All Seasons I’m looking back at this past week as well as last years projects. I realize that I’m a wanna be gardener but I can always rely on my faux flowers to never let me down. LOL
Dirt Road Adventures – Plants for all seasons
One of my very first posts last year for Spring was The Best Way To Save A Ficus Tree. It was really sort of a joke. When we cleaned out my mom’s house, there was a faux ficus tree and I brought it home to save. You can see what I did here.
Next I shared Easy Topiaries You Can Make Yourself. This is another fun and easy project. Plus, this plant looks great all season long.
Look for another Topiary DIY Project coming this next week.
The Season in Full Bloom
I do want to share some real plant views with you today as well.
First, I started several new geranium plants from the plants I had enjoyed all summer. I’ve pampered them all winter and here’s what I pulled out of the DIY Greenhouse this week. I’m so excited to see how healthy they look.
Next, some more of my tulip bulbs have bloomed. Aren’t they great?
I also have a glorious Crab Apple Tree that is showing up big time right now. Be sure to read about splitting a lilac bush to increase your Spring blooms.
And lastly, I couldn’t resist sharing this photo from Easter Sunday. I’ve never seen so many butterflies at one time and they obviously love the pink phlox.
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
I finally got new bedding for the master bedroom and updated the room with a combination of neutral vintage inspired bedding from Piper Classics and shades of vintage blue with transferware and floral shams. See more about this 5 Easy Bedroom Updates for Spring.
Keeping with the plant or flower theme, I showed how to make a Spring Pillow with Scrap Fabrics. This would be such a great Mother’s Day Gift using children or grandchildren’s clothing fabrics.

Why Didn’t I Think of That?
Each week, there are so many wonderful blog posts, and I’m sharing some of my favorites with you today.
There are so many creative ideas, and I’m always asking myself, “Why didn’t I think of that”? LOL
A Recipe Adventure – Plus Health Benefits
My husband is a big turnip fan and when I saw Jenn at The Everyday Farmhouse had shared Three Best Ways to Eat Turnips, I knew I needed to share her recipes and informative information with you.
A Fun DIY Adventure
My good friend and Thrifting with the Gals cohost, Kirsten at White Arrows Home shared her fun bathroom with a red and white first aid theme. She found a cute metal box while thrifting and transformed it into a cute first aid box. Check out all the details at DIY Vintage Inspired First Aid Kit Box.
Just one more Plant Adventure
Do you love lavender? I do and these tips from my friend Mary at Life at Bella Terra are going to come in handy because I plan to have a lot of lavender this summer. See all of Mary’s tips at All About Lavender.
Thank you so much for dropping by today. I hope you enjoyed Plants for all Seasons this week. I’d love to hear any of your suggestions and/or comments.
Have the Best Sunday!
