Today I’m excited to be sharing my Fall Farmhouse Porch Tour and Autumn Porch Decor. You will see all the details about how the front porch was styled using treasures from previous years, foraged items and DIY projects.
Rudy the Welcoming Committee
Rudy stayed with me during the entire decorating process and needless to say, he was not very welcoming once the tour started. Just look at that expression. LOL

Fall Farmhouse Porch Tour
First, let’s talk about the front doors. Because I prefer to keep the view from inside the house unobstructed, the front doors themselves are left unadorned. However, to create a warm, welcoming feel, the surrounding areas are filled to the brim with lots of fall décor.
A combination of yellows, orange and purple were gathered from thrift stores, flea markets and a local greenhouse, . A leaf rug from a previous fall helps to tie the area together for a warm and inviting entrance.
Last years wreaths from Floral Treasure are made from preserved flowers and grapevine.
Thankfully, they look perfect for a second year on the porch.
To help create a warm welcoming feel, the doors are surrounded with a combination of faux and real pumpkins and flowers.
The Vintage Kennedy Rockers get quite a work out this time of year and each rocker is filled with comfy cushions and warm throw blankets for autumn evenings on the porch. Throw blankets are a must have for fall porch sitting and you can see here some other must haves for fall.
Dried Hydrangeas fill a vintage handmade basket while the The Mona Lavender Plectranthus plant adds just the perfect touch of purple. I love using cozy throw blankets, like this neutral one, on the porch rocker.
The porch is filled with a mixture of real, faux and dried flowers. In addition, a mixture of containers were used to add texture and visual interest to the porch display. Decorative urns, clay pots, baskets and crocks are all used to hold the floral treasures
Master bedroom Seating Area
Another favorite area for morning coffee or for watching the sunset is the seating area at the master bedroom. This space is filled with a combination of vintage antique wicker chairs and porch swing which allows for comfortable seating.
The vintage porch cabinet is filled with clay pots, thrift store copper, amber bottles and flea market art.
Once again, plenty of cozy pillows and throw blankets are added which keeps everyone comfortable during the cooler fall evenings.
In addition, some new items were added to this area and they include some fun DIY Plaid Pillow Covers. These were easy to make and an inexpensive addition to the seating area.
This area is also filled with pumpkins and flowers. The mix of faux and real keeps friends and family guessing which is which. LOL
In order to add even more warmth, foraged items from a neighbors corn field and along our property were gathered and used to decorate this seating area.
Thrift store stools, and containers surround the porch swing. A cute child’s chair is the perfect perch for a fun pumpkin.
Foraging for Fall Decor
It all began while gathering grapes for our impromptu fall picnic, which I shared a few weeks back. Because I am easily distracted, I decided it was the perfect opportunity to gather some grape vine from the area.
Next, using floral wire, I attached corn stalks to the grapevine and then added some faux bitter sweet garlands which I received from Piper Classics. In addition, a strand of twinkle lights added just the perfect touch to the porch swing garland.
More Foraged Fall Finds
This year the acorns are very plentiful, therefore it was easy to collect enough to fill in around Antique Candle Companies yummy candle and create a beautiful fall arrangement for free. Also, the left over acorns looked just perfect in the fruit basket used to gather them.
A DIY Grapevine wreath surrounds the candle holder.
Another larger fruit basket holds a pumpkin, corn and a small mum. In addition, some fall leaves are tucked in for good measure. For more helpful fall decorating tips, see Fall Greenhouse Table Decor Tips here.
Sunset Fall Farmhouse Porch Tour
As you can see here, when the sun begins to sink behind the mountain, the beautiful evening sky is reflected in the windows of the Ponds Farmhouse and it’s truly the most beautiful time of day.
Finally, the farmhouse porch tour is winding down but things become even more magical as the sun disappears from view.
Here is a view of the farmhouse lit from within which always leaves me with a warm and cozy feeling about our forever home and property.

Good Morning Rachel Your front porch is absolutely beautiful. I always get such great ideas from you. Love how you decorated the porch swing with lights and corn husks, what an incredible idea and it looks so magical. I am amazed that the squirrels haven't eaten your pumpkins* as soon as I put mine out, within minutes there were huge chunks taken out of all of mine. Everything looks wonderful* so cozy deezie
