Y’all know I love to decorate for fall and this year is no exception. I’m always ready for the change of season. So you might have heard me say “Fall is my Favorite time of year”. The reality is, every season is my favorite, because I’m always ready to change my decor.
I’m so excited to share my Fall Farmhouse Inspiration Tour with you! Today’s tour showcases all the warm cozy home feels and why fall is my favorite season right now! LOL
This year I’ve been inspired by the warm colors of copper, amber and thrift store finds. You’ll see how these elements are incorporated throughout the farmhouse. Oh, and you might see a pumpkin or two.
I’m excited to be joining a group of talented blogger’s on a Fall Blog Hop today. Each of these talented ladies are sharing their own beautiful homes, decorated for fall. Be sure to check the end of this blog post for all the links.
Welcome to Fall Farmhouse Inspiration Tour
Hey friends, it’s still a bit early for real pumpkins, corn stalks, and mum’s, however, I am excited to share my home tour & fall inspiration with you today. I’m starting in the living area as you enter my home. You will immediately see one of my favorite features of the Farmhouse. It’s the wrought iron staircase and railing for the loft area.
Here, you can see how I used vintage windows to create a gallery wall and in addition, they helped to hide an unsightly but necessary eye sore. Click here to see what I’m referring to, The faux corn shuck wreath and mini pumpkins were added to give the staircase a fall feel.
The Barn Door for Fall
Next, you see another favorite architectural feature of the farmhouse. The unique barn door always looks great with a seasonal wreath. In addition, the deconstructed chair looks cozy with a pumpkin pillow.
Here you can see the repurposed light fixture is holding a brass candlestick and candle. A trio of fabric pumpkins were purchased from Vintage Cottage 150 and add to the warm fall vibe. A cute, fall owl looks important under a glass cloche.
The beautiful preserved flower wreath is from Floral Treasure. It’s a favorite from last fall and on my list of must have items for fall. Here you can see all 7 Must Have Fall Items.
As you will notice, the entire living area, kitchen and dining are all just one large room. So as we move into the living room, you still have full view of all areas of the house.
Another favorite item to decorate, seasonally, is the vintage wine barrel that I use on the repurposed coffee table. This fall the barrel is filled with my vintage amber bottle collection and battery operated candles for safety. We inherited the bottle collection from my father-in-law, so they hold special memories for us.

Here is a view of the card catalog cabinet repurposed as a wine bar and a large candle ring helps to disguise the necessary thermostat. To add some fall inspiration to the tour, you can see a few of the free gum ball flowers to the ironstone pitcher. In addition, you can see more free fall decorating tips here.

Fall FarmHouse Kitchen Inspiration
The DIY Kitchen Island is definitely the heart of our home. As a focal point, the faux barn wood top gets lots of attention.
In addition, the repurposed pantry door chalk board is also a focal point of the farmhouse kitchen. Changing the message seasonally is so fun.
The Kitchen Island is 6′ x 7′, allowing for plenty of workspace as well as fall styling. This season for Farmhouse Inspiration, I’ve added some fall grasses to the ironstone vessel. The dough bowl is filled with harvest fall apples.
You can see how we made the new wood look like old barn wood here.
Fall is the perfect time to add yummy scents to the kitchen. Apple Cider and Pecan Pie are just a couple of the wonderful scents available from Antique Candle Co.
The candles all come in a safe, heavy duty glass container.
Another favorite fall decor item is vintage fall dishes. Here you can see a platter that was a recent thrift store find. Also, the wheat plates are another favorite pattern that I’m always on the look out for while shopping at thrift stores and flea markets.
Mixing and matching dishes is a fun way to make your tablescapes interesting.
Copper Please!
A favorite collectible this year has been copper because these pieces add so much warmth to the kitchen and dining area. Here, you can see a few of the pieces I’ve collected along with my rolling pin collection. The woods, whites and copper all combine to warm the kitchen for fall.
the Dining Area for Fall Inspiration
The antique hutch was an anniversary gift from many years ago. The warm pine wood is enhanced with more copper pieces and ironstone platters.
Make your own DIY Plate Rack – Here is the tutorial.
In addition to the copper, I added a basket and a pottery jug to the top of the hutch. The jug was inherited from my mom and the basket was a thrilling thrift store find.
The fall stems and fun faux pumpkin enhance the overall warm feeling of this space.
The fall farmhouse table and dining area are filled with vintage treasure.
The Fall Farmhouse Table
Y’all know how much I love to style a tablescape. Here I’m using a, new to me, set of vintage dishes. These were a recent thrift store find that match the platter you saw a few photo’s back.
In addition, the chargers were an inexpensive thrift store purchase. They were all chippy red paint but they received a new coat of copper paint and they complete the copper theme of my fall kitchen and dinning area.
Another thrifty addition is the music pages that I used as a table runner and as a silverware wrap. In addition to the pages, the actual hymnals are used as a riser for the ironstone pitcher centerpiece.
Hop Stems fill the pitcher for a natural looking centerpiece. In addition, the tray is filled with a Hop garland and a gum ball garland that was free. See those free fall decor tips here.

This was so much fun! I look forward to sharing more tours with you as we enter into the fall season.
