Dirt Road Adventures – Milk Glass and More

Happy Sunday, and welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – Milk Glass and More. On Sundays, we review all the exciting events behind the scenes, on the website, and the sources of inspiration I discovered online during the past week. This weekly recap ensures you don’t miss any of our adventures.

It’s been a fun week here on the Dirt Road.

I’ve been working on more Fall crafts and decorating ideas.

I’ve been so tempted to crack open some of my storage boxes filled with pumpkins, pillows and fall florals.

Have you started decorating for Fall yet?

I just finished the Sunflower Wreath made from pinecones yesterday and was so excited. Did you see it? It’s better than I imaged it, and now I need to decorate around it.

The wreath also sparked some new ideas for using pinecones this fall. So stay turned.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

So this week the blog was filled with more fall ideas from DIY projects to budget-friendly thrift store trends.

Plus, a yummy new recipe you don’t want to miss.

The weather has been beautiful the last two days and I’ve been on my screen porch most everyday.

The new blinds we installed last week also allow us to sit there in the evenings.

Thrifting News – Weekly Haul

Y’all, one of my top posts ever was about How To Decorate With Vintage Milk Glass. I knew it was trendy for vintage decor, but I just didn’t realize it was THIS popular.

I decided to head out to the thrift stores to see what I might add to my collections, and here’s what happened.

First, I shopped at the Habitat ReStore and found a lamp for $1.00. Stay tuned for another lamp makeover.

Next, I visited CUOC, one of my favorite thrift stores, and found all these milk glass pieces. However, the best part is everything was 25% off. The large basket also came from there.

The framed cross stitch and brass candlestick came from another thrift store.

I next visited The Flea Marketeers on Sunset Avenue and found these two baskets. I have big plans for them and can’t wait to show you, I know you will love it.

If you missed Thrifting in Downtown Asheboro, you can check it out here.

In other news…

I was so excited to receive this photo from an Instagram friend. After seeing my Easy DIY Plate Rack Tutorial, Jean Conklin was inspired to create this wall of blue and white plates with a plate rack. Her version is fantastic; I knew you’d love to see it.

I love to see how another’s interpretation of an idea turns out. Thanks for sharing, Jean.
