Hey Friends, and Happy Sunday! Today on Dirt Road Adventures, we are taking a look back at all things happening here on the dirt road, some behind the scenes, a recap of all the blog inspiration, and other inspiration I found around the web.
So Welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – A Cool Summer
We have been having unseasonably cool weather for June. I know it’s not officially summer, but It feels like we are off to a cool start.
However, it feels great for our morning walks, and my flowers are loving it.
The hosta plants are huge this year, and I actually split them earlier in the Spring.

Adventures at the End of the Dirt Road
This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.
Although the pool has been open for several weeks, the weather has prevented us from dripping in.
I prefer a warm pool, and it’s still in the lower 70’s.
Today was the first day we didn’t see the smoke from Canada. Can you believe we were affected here in North Carolina?
For some good news, Rudy is finally out of his cone. We have been struggling to get his gland issue healed for over two months. He’s been in a cone for over a month but finally, his little issue has healed, and he’s free of the dreaded cone.
Plus, he had a spa day this week, so he’s looking extra sharp.
Want to know how to turn having a mammogram into a fun adventure? Plan lunch with your favorite person beforehand. It was a perfect day for an alfresco lunch at Village Traven in Greensboro.
We planned our mother/daughter beach trip for next week. We have been postponing the trip since Mother’s Day, waiting for the weather to cooperate. Fingers crossed!

Oh, I found the cutest, most comfortable shoes. I love them.
I also ordered these brown sandals, but they haven’t arrived yet.
We uncovered our cantilever umbrella to find the canopy was dry-rotted. We planned to have a new canopy made, but the cost of the fabric was more than this NEW umbrella.
We ordered these hinges for an upcoming DIY project. Remember the windows we replaced at our beach cottage? Hint, the old windows may be repurposed.
These rustic handles will match perfectly.
I’m interested in this Rug. What do you think?

Love that you guys are making a day of getting a mammogram and have plans to spend some time together soon. There's nothing like spending time with your favorite people. Glad Rudy is ok too! I know it's hard when they're hurting and not feeling like themselves. He definitely deserves some extra treats this week. Hugs, CoCo

CoCo, Thank you so much for your kind words. Rudy doesn't complain about the cone but we are so glad it's gone. It messed up his cute ears. LOL
