Welcome to Dirt Road Adventures – April’s Over. Today is a look back at everything happening behind the scenes, on the blog, and around the web. We have a week full of Mother’s Day Planning, and I found some great ideas that will inspire you as you plan your celebrations next month.

Can you believe April is over? The month has flown by, and I thought I’d share some of the highlights of April with you today.

This is a look back at all my adventures this past week.

We started the week with some much-needed grooming.

Rudy had his appointment on Monday, and he’s looking sharp.

I had my spa day on Tuesday, just before we took off to our beach cottage.

We plan to replace our cottage’s front door this trip, so stay tuned for all the details.

But before the work begins, we enjoyed a little shopping and dining out.

My friend and I checked out this great new-to-us restaurant in Wilmington, NC

We had heard good things about this fun spot, and it didn’t disappoint. Be sure to get the cucumber salad side.

Then Brad and I took Rudy to another fun spot for lunch, Smoke on the Water. It’s an incredible view and a delicious meal.

We always take a stroll along the waterway before heading back to the beach cottage.

The week began with a healthy Beet Salad recipe, and it is SO…. Good! Even if you don’t care for beets, you will surely like this nutrient-packed salad.

Some Favorite Thrift Store Finds

While out shopping in Wilmington, my friend and I found these great silver goblets. I love the patina and can’t wait to use them on one of my tablescapes.

April was a great thrifting month, and most of my favorite finds were baskets.

These two baskets were both great deals. When you save money on most of your home decor accessories, you can splurge when you find something really special.

My favorite find of the month is the harvest basket from The French Farmers Wife. I’m still playing around with where I’ll display it. However, I love it here for now.
