Fall is the perfect time for entertaining and decorating the screened-in porch. Therefore, I have been on the porch decorating and getting ready for our monthly supper club dinner party.
Before I knew it, one thing had led to another, and the whole porch was decorated.
I thought I’d take you on a little tour of how I decorated this year.
If you love pumpkins, you will love how I decorated the shiplap tree for fall.
In addition, cooler evenings require lots of throw blankets and comfy seating.
So let’s take a quick look at this year’s Fall Porch.
What is a Screened Porch?
Y’all, I’ve wanted a screened porch for years, and I made it a priority to have a large one when we built the farmhouse.
I’ve had sunrooms in two of my previous homes and loved the climate control of those rooms. However, there’s nothing like feeling the breeze on a screened-in porch.
A screened porch is a covered, open-air structure that allows the air to circulate but keeps the critters away.
It’s like being on a covered porch, but you don’t need bug repellant.
I spend as much time as possible on our porch. Rudy particularly loves being on the screened porch.
The second the door opens, he is out there.
Screened-In Porch Decorating the Cozy Seating Area
The front of the screened-in porch is filled with comfortable seating, which includes burnt orange pillows and a brightly colored comfy throw blanket, creating a warm and inviting area to watch the sunset.
This area has a panoramic view of the three ponds in front of the farmhouse.
When planning the construction, I originally wanted a fireplace on the porch. However, it was cost prohibitive, so we didn’t add it.
We are glad we didn’t add the fireplace after the fact because we love the unobstructed view of the ponds.
In addition to the view, I added foraged grapevine with twinkle lights around the top of the screened area. The subdued lighting makes the porch magical at night.
Family Treasures
The handmade wrought iron coffee table is a treasured piece of furniture that my dad made years ago. We salvaged it from the original cabin, which is now our outdoor kitchen.
For fall, I added a vintage ice cream churn, which is one of my roadside finds.
It makes a charming centerpiece filled with fall stems and grass.
The Shiplap Tree
This is the first year I’ve used the DIY Shiplap Tree on the screened-in porch to decorate for fall.
My husband initially built the tree as a Christmas tree. However, I’ve been decorating it for spring and Easter for the past few years.
This year, I added some pinecones painted copper, some dried corn stalks, and faux white pumpkins to the shiplap boards.
The screened porch is adjacent to the front porch, and you can see the DIY Corn Stalks Garland added to the porch swing. I’ll be sharing a full front porch tour once it cools down and I can safely buy pumpkins and mums.
More cozy seating with warm throw blankets surrounds the seating area inside the screened room.

Screened Porch Dining Area
The back area of the screened porch includes the dining area, where we love to entertain.
The baker’s rack is filled with fall decor; however, it serves double duty as a serving station when we have guests.
The vintage ice box holds extra dishes and glasses for our upcoming Supper Club Dinner Party.
I couldn’t resist sharing a glimpse of the dining table.
It is filled with rustic tableware for our upcoming chowderfest virtual supper club dinner party. You can see the full table setting on Thursday!
I hope you enjoyed today’s tour, and I look forward to sharing more porch decor ideas in the next few weeks.
Thanks for stopping by! See another budget friendly cozy porch tour.
