Our loft is our media space and during the winter, we spend a lot of time in the here. In addition, this is our entertaining space when the weather doesn’t allow us to be outdoors. Therefore, I strive to make the space as cozy as possible.

10 Cozy Industrial Loft Ideas

First, our open staircase is a focal point from the minute you enter our front door.

To cozy up this space, I added architectural salvage windows, corbels, and a flat basket. One of the windows actually conceals a air exchange. If you struggle with hiding vents and other eye sore necessities, you might like to read Brilliant Ways to Hide That Ugly Vent and more!

Industrial Loft Style

When you first arrive at the top of the industrial staircase, you will see that I’ve added lots of vintage texture with the natural wood door, vintage trunk and a snowy wreath for winter.

Gallery Wall

Another way to cozy up this loft space is to add a gallery wall. At the beginning of Covid, I had just received my share of my mother’s old photographs. I was racking my brain for something I could do with these family treasures and hiding them in a drawer seemed such a waste. Using what I had on hand, I created this gallery wall in the powder room of the loft. I love how it adds to the cozy feel. You can read all about How to Hang A Gallery Wall without a Mistake here.

Cozy Industrial Style Loft Lighting

The bar area of our industrial loft includes a nesting box which holds bar supplies.

In order to add lighting to this area, I choose a string of twinkle lights which run through the box and underneath as well. This gives a warm glow without any harsh light.

Cozy Throw Blankets

Here you can see a wall of cozy throw blankets which actually covers a crawl space access. This area is two fold because the throw blankets come in handy when we settle in to watch a movie, plus they hid the door access.

Wood Accents to Warm Up Industrial Style Loft

I’m a huge fan of old wooden boxes, trunks, sifters, and just about any vintage wooden item.

Adding a stack of wooden pieces helps to warm up the space next to the open industrial railing.

In addition, the coffee table holds a vintage tool box which is filled with winter greenery, old books, battery operated candles and the remote controls.

A glass cloche helps to reflect light while it covers a diy grapevine topiary.

Industrial Style TV Stand

A few years ago I found a great deal on this chippy industrial cart and my husband had the idea to make it into a TV stand.

We added shelves and filled it with vintage wooden crates. The crates hold old movings and CD’s which we rarely use, but can’t part with either. LOL.

In addition, I added old books and a few other accessories to warm up the industrial style cart.

Throw Pillows

Finally, when all else fails to make a space cozy, add some throw pillows.

I’ve used a mixture of different pillows on the leather sectional sofa to create an interesting eclectic feel in the room.
