Welcome to the Fall In the Greenhouse DIY & She Shed Ideas Tour! I’m sharing 9 ideas for fall decorating, and 6 of my friends are sharing their beautifully decorated greenhouses, potting sheds, and she sheds.
Did you know that our DIY greenhouse resulted from the COVID isolation? My husband was working from home, and very little was happening within the company, so we started and completed the greenhouse in 30 days. I still can’t believe we did it all by ourselves.
Since we built the greenhouse, it has also served as a wonderful she shed. It is the perfect place to share my passion for decorating and entertaining.
So, I can’t wait to share all the Greenhouse DIY and She Shed Ideas for fall, including a table set up for a Friendsgiving Brunch.
What Is A Greenhouse Vs She Shed?
And is there really a difference?
An actual functional greenhouse is much different from a she shed. A greenhouse built to house and protect plants will be climate-controlled and ventilated. I’ll be sharing some functional greenhouses on this blog hop.
Although my greenhouse protects plants overwinter, it’s more of a potting shed, and she shed. See my best tips for save plants overwinter.
The definition of a she shed probably best describes my structure: “A room or building in which a woman may indulge in hobbies and interests without being distracted by other family members.”
Today on this blog hop, you will see 7 Greenhouse and She Shed styles, each decorated for Fall. Be sure to hop over to each link at the end of my tour.

The Greenhouse DIY & She Shed Ideas for Fall
For today’s tour, I’m sharing my Greenhouse DIY and She Shed Ideas decorated for a Friendsgiving Brunch.
I shared the table setting with you yesterday on Friendsgiving Table Decor and Brunch Ideas.
Today, you will see the entire tour.
The structure is filled with foraged, thrifted, and DIY items both inside and out, making this a budget-friendly Fall tour.
Greenhouse DIY
The small front porch of the greenhouse is filled with gourds, pumpkins, and mums for fall.
The wreath is a favorite DIY project made using Rusted Tin Cans and Dollar Tree Florals. You can see the full tutorial here.
The Farm Fresh Produce sign was recently removed from the farmhouse and relocated to the greenhouse.
I replaced it with a DIY Copper Pot Hanger Rack, and the space is now filled with lovely vintage copper.
She Shed Ideas
The construction consisted of 8 sets of Glass French Doors rescued from a beach home after hurricane Florence.
Fortunately, an Instagram friend contacted me and sold me the doors for the cost of getting them from the coast to central NC.
To provide space within the she shed for furniture, the doors were installed to open outward, which helps with the ventilation and comfort level inside during warm days.
All doors can be opened without taking up space within the structure.

Friendsgiving Brunch Table
Inside the greenhouse, the eight-foot table is set up for a Friendsgiving Brunch. The tableware is vintage and thrift store finds.
A vintage French Cheese Board serves as a riser for the centerpiece. I purchased the cheese board from the French Farmer’s Wife Barn Sale, and I recently shared their Christmas Tour with you.
You can see all the centerpiece and table decor details on the Friendsgiving Table Decor and Brunch Ideas post.
Fall In The Greenhouse
The DIY Apothecary Cabinet is another favorite DIY project. You will be amazed at the before and after.
Today, the top is filled with dried gourdes, a gathered tree branch, dried hydrangea stems, and clay pots.
Lighting for the Greenhouse She Shed
The greenhouse she shed has no electrical wiring, so creative lighting options were necessary.
Another Greenhouse DIY project is the solar-powered Chandelier that hangs over the center table. The repurposed chandelier was a $10.00 thrift store find and provides evening light with the addition of Dollar Tree Solar Lights.
Another FREE thrift store find is the mini crystal chandelier that hangs above the desk. Although it doesn’t provide light, it’s still a favorite piece, and you can’t beat FREE. Am I right?
She Shed Ideas
In addition, these other she shed ideas include vintage garden statues and birdhouses.
They look great mixed with gourdes and pumpkins for fall.
I’m always looking for vintage gardening supplies on my Thrifting with the Gals adventures.
Also, a collection of thrift store baskets fill the rafter of the greenhouse and hang from a DIY Rustic Ladder we built for that purpose.
