Well it appears that all you have to do to make a dish perfect for an Hawaiian Luau is to add pineapple.

Why Does Luau Food Ideas Include Pineapple?

If you google Hawaiian Food Recipes, most likely you’ll see pineapple included in the ingredients. This could be because Hawaii is known for growing pineapples.

When I visited Hawaii several years ago, everyone asked if I brought home pineapples. I didn’t but I did eat a lot while visiting.

So get ready for some delicious pineapple infused recipes. LOL

This month I was responsible for a side dish to complete the Luau Menu. We rotate the menu each month so that everyone gets to share a different course as we move from month to month.

Luau Food Ideas

Michele’s Refreshing Pineapple and Basil starts the evening with a refreshing cocktail. I love both pineapple and basil so I know this will be on my summer recipe list.

Fresh fruit sounds so good for a summer appetizer and Jen’s Fresh and Easy Pineapple Salsa will not disappoint. The colors look so festive and perfect for a Luau Party.

For the main dish Anne shared her Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with grilled pineapple recipe. Doesn’t it look delicious. You will also enjoy How to Grill Fresh Pineapple.
